Would You Trust a Self-Driving Car? ft. Greg Brannon of AAA
Tuesday Mar 18, 2025
Tuesday Mar 18, 2025
According to an annual survey conducted by AAA since 2016, most Americans are wary of self-driving cars. While few trust the notion of riding in an autonomous vehicle, it's not the same for ADAS features. In AAA's 2025 study, nearly 80 percent said that prioritizing safety system advancements should be a top technology initiative for automakers.
Greg Brannon, Director of Automotive Engineering for AAA, joins us for insight into the findings of the 2025 study. He speaks about how survey participants grapple with a "loss of control" when presented with the idea of a self-driving car. Greg also shares feedback consumers give AAA on their personal vehicles and why a simplified ADAS nomenclature will benefit the car-buying public.

Getting Everyone Home Safe ft. Paul McGlone of Seeing Machines
Thursday Mar 06, 2025
Thursday Mar 06, 2025
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 1.19 million people die annually in traffic crashes. Between 20 and 50 million more suffer non-fatal injuries, with many incurring a disability. According to the WHO, drivers using mobile phones are roughly four times more likely to be involved in an accident.
While numerous risk factors exist regarding global roadway crashes, what can we in the automotive and mobility industries do to reduce these alarming numbers? How can we make a difference through the latest technologies?
This question has been at the heart of Seeing Machines since its humble origins in 2000, from a robotics lab at the Australian National University to a world-leading innovator of DMS solutions underpinned by human factors science.
Paul McGlone, CEO of Seeing Machines, joins Carl Anthony for this episode of AutoVision News Radio. Paul shares how the company began its work in the mining vertical, branching into fleet, aviation, and other automotive applications. He also expands on the power of human factors science and why the company's mission to get everyone home safe will never change.

Inside The Artistic Engine of CGI ft. Faruk Heplevent of The Scope
Tuesday Dec 17, 2024
Tuesday Dec 17, 2024
Visual assets are one of the most important deliverables as OEMs prepare to launch their latest models. As the saying goes, we only get one chance to make a good first impression—these words are especially true during those critical moments when the curtain is lifted, and the world sees that shiny new vehicle for the first time.
Whether on stage during the reveal, for the press release, the retail website, or to share on social media, the photos and videos associated with a particular vehicle go a long way in selling it to the public. However, producing and organizing these visual assets is a remarkable challenge.
Faruk Heplevent, founder of The Scope, joins Carl Anthony for this episode of AutoVision News Radio. The Scope is an innovative company that uses computer-generated imagery to create visual assets for vehicle launches and advertisements. Faruk recalls his early years in the 1990s as an automotive photographer, how CGI reduces the complexity of an extensive campaign like a product launch, and why The Scope team built an entire CGI city for its clients.
